But after all, who is MAHTA and what do we do?

MAHTA is a foodtech which arrived on the Brazilian market at the end of April this year. Our purpose is reconnect humanity to the forest , uniting ancestral wisdom with new nutritional science. A startup was born from my desire and that of my partner - Edgard Gabriel Calfat Neto - co-founder of Puravida, to create products that regenerate at the same time our internal biome (body) and the external biome of the Amazon Forest.

A little bit of the history of MAHTA

The topic of healthier eating came into my life a long time ago. For more than a decade I have been researching and trying the best superfoods on the planet . A personal passion that brought me an incredible gain in vitality, energy and health. And one moment we felt like research the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest better , and see if there were any other ingredients besides the 3 or 4 known, which deserve to be included in the list of the world's main superfoods.

We went after this answer and designed a path that answers 3 important questions :

1. Which Amazonian ingredients Can and should they be protagonists in this incredible food revolution that the world is going through today?

2. What is the fairest, most effective and direct way for consumers to relate to producing communities of these ingredients?

3. What is the best way to maximize the positive environmental impact in the Amazon rainforest?

Thus was born ' SRF - Forest Regenerative System” , and MAHTA’s first product. A company that comes to the world to not only reduce the negative impact of the current model, but to point out a path of regeneration, where The more we produce and consume, the more everyone's lives improve, and the health of our planet improves .

The search for the best superfoods

We put the best PHDs in search of ingredients from the Amazon to create innovative, highly nutritious foods that respected two other pillars, social and environmental. Our ingredients come from traditional forest communities and small farmers operating in agroforestry systems - the SAF's.

So we created the MAHTA Superfood powder , a food that can be consumed as a meal or as a complement. It has 15 ingredients from the Amazon such as cocoa, cupuaçu, açaí, Brazil nuts, taperebá, among others.

Our suppliers are cooperatives and associations. Among them are the Association of Small Agroforestry Farmers and the Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative of the RECA Project, in Rondônia, and the Farmers Cooperative of Vale do Amanhecer (Coopavam), in the north of Mato Grosso.

Our mission

Our purpose is to offer nutrition that enhances our biology, improves the living conditions of local communities and promotes the regeneration of the forest, guaranteeing LIFE throughout its cycle, from the total preservation of the soil to the effective regeneration of the Amazon.

We believe that the bioeconomy has enormous potential to guarantee the preservation of the Amazon. We believe that business can be regenerative. This is our passion, our mission, our compromise!
